MiQ Rebrand

I worked on an internal team of five designers to plan and execute a new visual identity for MiQ (formerly Media iQ). The company partners with advertisers and their agencies to transform data into insights for better media solutions (advertising campaign performance) and better business outcomes more generally. The company offers a vast array of products, capabilities and solutions so communicating the diversity of offerings under one brand was a huge challenge.

At MiQ, we are relentless in our pursuit to connect marketing to business outcomes for our clients. Our sweet spot is at the intersection of big data, artificial intelligence, human ingenuity, and real-world moments.

The logo is based on the brand typeface, Niveau Grotesk, redrawn to incorporate branded elements. The layering and depth is added to communicate the mosaic of offerings under the MiQ umbrella. The outcome is a bold, well balanced, appealing word-mark that has ownability in monochrome and in full color. The master logo is always used with a gradient composed of all four brand colors to reflect the company’s warm and inclusive culture.

Tungsten is used as an auxiliary typeface to create bolder headlines and add variation and structure to typographic layouts.
